A rare and exciting opportunity for a salaried GP has arisen at Llandaff North Medical Centre. Due to the retirement of our senior partners after over 25 years working in the practice, we are looking to recruit a salaried GP to work 4-5 sessions per week with a well-organised and supportive practice team. We are a GP training practice with four trainers.
Llandaff North Medical Centre is a long-established practice with a stable list size of 6500. We are active within the cluster, LMC and AWMSG. We value a supportive working environment and the clinical team meet daily over coffee, as well as more formally at regular practice clinical meetings.
The practice was built in 1997 and is located in the West of Cardiff in Llandaff North Village with easy access to the M4 corridor. There are excellent bus and rail links within a short walk from the practice. The practice is within easy reach from the city centre. The surgery benefits from on-site parking We have a close working relationship with the local pharmacy, and we have a supportive team of staff who are on hand to help at all times
Key features are:
Currently 6 GPs (4 Partners, 2 salaried)
GP training practice with regular registrars, ST1-3, in rotation.
Maximum 15 patient contacts morning and afternoon, although this is frequently less. one on call afternoon per week.
Administrative work shared equally between all GP’s
Low demand for home visits, which are shared equitably.
6 weeks annual leave (pro rata) and 1 week study leave (pro rata).
Skilled nursing team (2 practice nurses including minor illness, 1 HCA)
Cluster Pharmacist
LHB provided Mental Health Nurse and 1st contact Physio
High achievers of QaiF and prescribing indicators. We offer a whole range of enhanced services in addition to our regular contract.
Daily and monthly MDT meetings
Current clinical system - Vision/Docman.
Single site. Modern purpose-built surgery, ideally situated with easy access to the city centre and the M4 corridor.
Cardiff West cluster
Personal development and clinical interests encouraged and supported.
The successful candidate will be dedicated, innovative and committed to providing a high standard of clinical care.
Anticipated working days: 4-5 sessions to include a Monday and Thursday.
Salary: dependent on experience
